I thought this was an interesting read. The article focuses on the current law school debt crisis in the States.

Thanks for this, Niki – an important piece of commentary that highlights the interconnected anomalies of the current structure – high tuition, high debt, lack of jobs to pay it, and a desperate shortage of legal services for ordinary people. The New York Times has been providing excellent coverage of these issues for a number of years. See this in-depth coverage from 2011: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/09/business/09law.html As is often the case, they do things in a more exaggerated way in the US, and the problems are not of the same degree here (no pun intended). But they are of the same kind.
